Challenge

It started with an installation company we work with. People spread across sites in Germany and Austria, attendance in spreadsheets, tools “somewhere on site” and the expiry of A1 certificates or vehicle inspections tracked in someone's head. Off-the-shelf software covers either the store or attendance, but an installation company needs everything in one place and in several languages.

Solution

We built an app where a company sees who is on which site, how many hours they've worked and where every drill is. Documents are photographed and AI fills in the details; the system itself warns about expiring A1 certificates, inspections or tool checks. Everyone sees only what they should. When the company is short of people, it posts a job with one click to WERKUM Find, a public portal of installation jobs for self-employed tradespeople, where applicants come with their documents ready. It's all sold by its own website in three languages.

How it works.

  1. 1

The company runs people, sites and tools in the app

  2. 2

Documents are photographed, AI fills in the details

  3. 3

The system flags expiring deadlines itself

  4. 4

Missing people are found through WERKUM Find

Up close.

Take a photo, AI fills it in

ID cards, A1 certificates, vehicle registration papers and invoices from contractors. AI only suggests what gets saved; a person confirms it.

Jobs on the phone

Jobs on the phone

Tradespeople look for jobs mostly on their phones, often right on site. They see the rate and the company straight away, without signing up.

WERKUM Find

A portal of installation jobs for self-employed tradespeople in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. The company posts a job straight from the app and has applicants and their documents in one place.
